Our Story

Founded by Jen Meyer in 2022, 402 Bookkeeping Solutions, LLC is, at its core, rooted in family.  

In 2001, Jen met her husband Brent while they were students in business school at the University of Kansas. After graduating from KU in 2003, Jen moved to Wichita, KS while Brent moved to San Antonio, TX pursuing careers in Finance and Accounting, respectively. Despite the roughly 600 miles of separation, the pair grew closer and Jen soon moved to Texas. Shortly thereafter, they married and eventually relocated to Dallas, TX, where the family grew as they welcomed two daughters in 2010 and 2013.

In 2014, a career change for Brent brought the family back to their Midwestern roots as they settled in Omaha, NE.  By this time, Jen had left the 9-5 to stay home with the girls, while Brent worked as the CFO for a DI collegiate athletic department. 

As the girls grew older and started school, Jen found herself searching for the right opportunity to get back to working while still having the flexibility to manage school pickups and soccer practices. After a pause for COVID-19 shut downs, kids schooling from home and a lot of uncertainty, this led to pursuing a dream to someday start a family business and make use of a passion for numbers to help other businesses.  

In 2022, the dream went from someday to "why not now?".  And so, 402 Bookkeeping Solutions, LLC became a reality - fulfilling the vision of creating a full-service bookkeeping firm rooted in Nebraska values - integrity, determination, teamwork and perhaps most importantly, community.
