Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor
I grew up in Wichita, KS before attending the University of Kansas to study Business & Finance. In 2003, with a BS in Business Administration, I began my career in procurement finance in the aircraft industry in Wichita. After moving to Texas in 2005, I gained corporate experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and accounting with financial services and technology solutions companies.
In 2013, I traded corporate bosses in suits for tiny bosses in diapers and made the decision to focus my time at home, raising our two daughters, Emma & Stella. Now, I am excited to bring my experience in corporate finance to small business bookkeeping.
I enjoy spending time outdoors gardening, camping & hiking, traveling, sports, and being active members of our church in Elkhorn, NE.
What I love most about Omaha is that it has all of the benefits of a big city but has maintained the friendliness and community of a smaller town. Growing up in the Midwest, I felt like it was boring, but after a little more life experience and living other places, there is no other place I would want to raise my family. It feels like a good step back in time where neighbors are there to help each other and Nebraska Nice is a real thing!
I've always been a numbers person. So many people dread math, but I've always enjoyed the puzzle of solving a problem and knowing there is always a right answer. So when thinking about how my skills could best serve others, bookkeeping is a perfect way to help businesses take care of the necessary work they would rather avoid so they can focus on their core business.
